It looks like Facebook services across the world are currently affected by an outage. This includes Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. Combined, these services are used by over a billion people on a daily basis.
WhatsApp users are unable to send/receive messages, with Facebook Messenger also being down. As for Facebook itself, users are unable to access its newsfeed and other services.
This major outage to all three services comes just over a month after Facebook experienced an outage which lasted for hours. It was the worst outage in the company’s history and it is surprising and shocking to see Facebook services suffering another outage so soon.
There’s no confirmation from Facebook yet about the outage, though the company should make a statement about it once the services are restored.

Update: All three services have been restored Facebook has also issued a statement regarding the outage to Bloomberg.
“Earlier today, some people may have experienced trouble connecting to the family of apps. The issue has since been resolved; we’re sorry for any inconvenience,” a Facebook spokesperson said.
