In the wee hours of the morning Patently Apple posted a report titled “Rumor Claims Samsung’s new mid-tier A9 Smartphone will come with Four Backside Cameras.” Samsung’s show is now over and yes indeed Samsung delivered the world’s first smartphone with a rear quad camera system.
Samsung’s A9 phone may be aimed at competing with Apple’s iPhone XR with its larger 6.3″ Super AMOLED display, larger battery, a 24MP main camera and 128 GB standard.
The UK is one the main markets that will get the new A9’s in November in time for Christmas shoppers. With Apple and Samsung going head-to-head in the U.K. for market share, as the Statista chart below reveals, Samsung’s new A9 may be able sway more customers their way this year with decent specs for the dollar.
